Installing Canola through your Internet Tablet's Browser

Don't forget to reboot after finishing the installation! (don't forget to UNPLUG the power cable)

1. Some users are experience problems with dependencies, so please check out if you have the default maemo repositories added in your application catalogue. This help erros like the missing "libgcrypt11 and libgpg-error0".
   The basic Maemo repositories are in the http://maemo.org/maemowiki/ApplicationRepositories make sure to add the Nokia Catalogue and Nokia Catalogue (3rd party) before installing canola
   
2. Make sure to deactivate or remote the following repositories while installing canola : Maemo hackers and GPE repositories. This repos cause problems with libcrypto and libgpg.
   
3. You just need to click on the "One click install button" on the header of any page;
4. Open the link with the installation manager - (accept the installation);
5. Accept the license agreement;
6. Choose the folder where you want the canola icon (we recommend the top level folder);
7. Reboot the device! It will not work properly if you don't reboot correctly.

If you want to install through the application installer 

1. Nokia 770 users:
   Add the following repository to your Application Catalog:
   http://openbossa.indt.org.br/canola/repository/770
   distribution: mistral
   component: user
   
2. Nokia N800 users:
   Add the following repository to your Application Catalog:
   http://openbossa.indt.org.br/canola/repository/bora
   distribution: bora
   component: user
   
3. Refresh the packages;
4. Canola should appear on the "installable applications" section -- or in the "Updates" section if already installed;
5. Hit install or update;
6. Accept the license agreement;
7. Choose the folder where you want the canola icon (we recommend the top level folder);
8. Reboot the device! It will not work properly if you don't reboot correctly.

Already known problems (send yours if not here)

problem : "I click, get to the application installer, add the repo, then it starts to download and then stops and says that the install file is missing..."

How to solve it:
First check if don have already the latest version: Just look at the splashcreen corner the number. If its R2454m then you have the final release.
If not, try removing the openbossa repository from the application catalogue, and click the install link again.
