Between the academy and the "real world"
Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG)
It began as a training program. It became a training and cooperation partnership. The L aboratory of Embedded Systems and Pervasive from the Federal University of Campina Grande works together with us to unfold the possibilities raised by the use of open source codes in the mobility industry. The idea is to develop human resources in technologies focused on embedded systems (specially the ones of mobile platforms) and take part in some of the projects we do.
Federal University of Amazônia (UFAM)
The technical and scientific cooperation between INdT and UFAM is focused on developing competences in mobile platforms based on Linux. Our major path consists of power management consumption and applications for mobile embedded platforms.
Currently, there is a group of graduate students, graduating master students and PhD professors (two of them working in the INdT) – studying ways to lower energy consumption through the Dynamic Voltage and Frequency Scaling (DVFS) technique in the context of real-time systems, so that the energy reduction won't imply in the decrease of the device's performance.
